| Descrizione mansioni | Stringent legal requirements for car manufacturers concerning emissions and fuel consumption lead to the use of low viscosity oils. At the same time, vacuum performance and reliability should not decrease in order to guarantee the functionality of breaking operations. The aim of this thesis is to simulate and validate the performance characteristics of the pump and predict the wear behavior of the related components with respect to different oil temperature conditions. The study focuses on friction source identification and design improvement in order to improve the power absorption and optimize the wear behavior of the vacuum pump. |
